XENTRIX: 'We Have Decided Not To Do Any More Shows'
September 2, 2006Guitarist Kristian "Stan" Havard of the acclaimed late '80s/early '90s U.K. thrash metallers XENTRIX — who recently reunited with their original lineup for a series of gigs in their home country — has posted the following message on the group's official web site:
"It's been fun doing gigs again. The response from the people who came to see us was amazing, especially all those who travelled from different countries. But we all have different lives to lead now and have decided not to do any more XENTRIX shows.
"Thanks go out to all the people who helped us, especially Lee and Fatboy from Noisescape who became our road crew and helped with the gigs and the MySpace page."
XENTRIX's most recent lineup consisted of:
Dennis Gasser - Drums
Paul "Macka" MacKenzie - Bass
Kristian "Stan" Havard - Guitar
Chris Astley - Guitar/Vocals
XENTRIX released four albums on Roadrunner Records: "Shattered Existence" (1989),"For Whose Advantage" (1990),"Dilute to Taste" (1991) and "Kin" (1992). They also issued "Scourge" (1996) on Heavy Metal Records with Simon Gordon on vocals and Andy Rudd on guitar.
